Christians are under attack!

My name is John Wayne Ward. I am proud to call Pat Johnson my friend for over 30 years. Our friendship is one non-military types would not understand. I am taking my own and time and my own money to publish this site. We became friends as defense department contractors. These stressful, often life-threatening times will clearly show who has honor, integrity, and courage or none at all.  Pat was the guy I could always count on.  I never had to worry no matter where we were sent, which guy had my back.  In late 2012 our hometown of Deland Florida had become a cesspool of city governmental corruption.  Building department supervisors taking bribes, City leaders hand picking which businesses could open and which ones should go. The top one in 2013 occurred when a Deland Police officer ran over a man and killed him for a petty misdemeanor.  Pat and I were having coffee when I joked, he should run for Mayor.  He took me seriously and did it.  The corrupt leaders involved equally corrupt media and launched a campaign to make sure Pat would not get elected.  Trump might have coined the phrase "fake news" but believe me it has existed for years. The supreme court case Sullivan vs Time Union gives the press the right to print false stories about celebrities. A man, my friend, who had been a soldier, a leader, a self-made man, a great father, a good Christian, a police officer and federal agent for 15 years was ripped and torn apart by the local press. One fake story after another surfaced simply spreading lies about the man. The main spin master was a reporter named Defeo who actually was arrested and charged for assaulting a Volusia County Deputy. What kind of newspaper would hire a guy who gets drunk regularly and beats up cops? Defeo also claimed Pat never graduated college, but I am featured in his graduation photos attached here where he got his master's degree from St Leo University. What bothers me the most is Pat has two teenage sons who got exposed to this trash. At the end of the day, if you're a good Christian person, be very careful about getting involved in politics in this country. The media is owned by mostly liberals and dems that will stop at nothing to accomplish their agendas. If they have to destroy human lives, that's what they will do. Pat owns a few businesses in town but for the most part he's retired now. We enjoy golf now and then and riding our motorcycles. I volunteer at my church and Pat coaches' youth soccer. As far as me, once a Marine always a Marine!
